Parking: Please park in the large lot south of the main building. You may enter by either drive, from Northport Road or State Road 9. About Kneipp Springs: The Kneipp Springs Sanitarium was founded by Dr. W. G. Geierman in 1895. The doctor was assisted by the Sisters of the Precious Blood, medically-trained nuns from Dayton, Ohio. In 1902 the Sisters bought the property, and ran it until 1976. At that time, the Sisters sold the property to The Way International, who used it as a Biblical research and training facility until 1998. Now called Our Lady, Mother of Mercy Center, it’s the only Canonically-approved apparition sight in United States. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, appeared to Sister Mary Neuzil there five times, beginning in 1956. The Mother of Mercy Foundation is restoring the historic property in hopes that it will be utilized as a retreat facility, with a contemporary conference center.
