(PENN TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash in Cass County's Penn Township resulted in several minor injuries.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department was called at 3:39 PM Tuesday to investigate an injury crash. Deputies determined that 26 year old Johannes Erasmus of Schoolcraft was traveling south on Gards Prairie Road and came to the intersection of Quaker Street. Erasmus crept into the intersection to see around the corn growing in a field when he was struck by a vehicle driven west by 24 year old Kara Gaideski of Dowagiac.

Gaideski and her two children were taken to Lakeland Hospital in Niles by Life Care Ambulance to be treated for minor injuries. Erasmus and his passenger were treated at the scene by Life Care Ambulance and released.

Deputies say everyone was wearing their safety belts and the children were in child safety seats.
