By: Mike Stiles - Monday, September 23, 2019

(COLDWATER) – Coldwater Police are investigating an incident that involved a ten year old child.

Coldwater Interim Director Of Public Safety Joe Scheid says the child was walking to his bus stop at 7:30 AM Friday on East Washington Street, when a man in a car asked the child to get into his vehicle and he would take the child to the fair.

The boy told police he ran to the bus stop and let the bus driver know what happened. The boy then told his principal, who contacted the police.

The suspect is a white man with black hair and he had a tattoo of flames on his right arm. The vehicle he was driving was a black car with tinted windows and black wheels. It's possible it could have been a P.T. Cruiser.

If anyone has information on this incident, they are asked to call the Coldwater Police at 517-278-4525.
