(BRUSHY PRAIRIE) – Without much public comment, the Prairie Heights School Board approved a two year contract with the Prairie Heights Education Association.

The public hearings on the teacher contracts and the Superintendent's contract lasted barely five minutes Thursday evening.

(Superintendent Jeff Reed says the teachers approved the contract on September 16. The terms of the contract call of an $1800 raise in the first year and a $1200 raise in the second year. He says there were some stipend changes, but nothing else of note in the contract).

The Board of Education is expected to act on Reed's contract next month.
