Sturgis Man Arrested For Child Sexually Abusive Activity

(STURGIS) – A Sturgis man is in jail after being arrested on multiple charges.

The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 19 year old Alejandro Sanchez following an investigation into his online activity.

State Police followed up on a National Center For Missing & Exploited Children tip involving online activity via Instagram. Additional content was located uncovering the uploading of child sexually abusive material to a cloud account.

Sanchez was arraigned in St. Joseph County District Court on one charge of child sexually abusive activity; two charges of using a computer to commit a crime; and three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.
