(JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP) – A three vehicle crash Monday afternoon injured four people.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says at 5:15 PM, 18 year old Daquan Brown of Elkhart was driving south on Dailey Road and failed to stop before entering the intersection at M-60. Brown's vehicle was struck by a westbound automobile driven by 30 year old Kathy Nixon of Cassopolis.

After that collision, a third vehicle heading east, driven by 58 year old Joseph Mosier of Three Rivers, was struck by the first two vehicles in the intersection.

Both Brown and Nixon were injured, as was Mosier and his passenger, 40 year old Christopher Rainwater of Constantine. All four were taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

Behnke says everyone was wearing their seat belts and airbags were deployed in all of the vehicles.

Assisting agencies were the Cassopolis and Penn Township Fire Departments along with the Edwardsburg, Life Care and Pride Care Ambulance Services.
