(UNDATED) – A Monday afternoon accident injured a Marcellus woman.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department says 30 year old Donna Wright was driving north on Hathaway Road near Church Street at 4:36 PM. Deputies say Wright moved closer to the side of the road to make room for another vehicle that was approaching her.

While moving her vehicle, Wright entered into a small culvert in the roadway, lost control and struck a tree.

Wright was taken to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo to be treated for her injuries. Investigators say she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Assisting deputies were the Dowagiac and Wayne Township Fire Departments and the Edwardsburg Ambulance.
