Sturgis Kiwanis Club Honors October Students Of The Month

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Kiwanis Club recently honored the Sturgis High School Key Club October Students Of The Month.

Nancy Montoya is a sophomore and has been involved in B.P.A., Positive Student Culture, Volleyball and Track.

Mikey Jurado likes to help with children and is also involved in Positive Student Culture.

The students were invited to a recent Kiwanis Club luncheon where they were given a certificate in recognition of their service to Key Club.

There are currently over 140 students involved in Key Club for the 2019-2020 school year.

The Key Club recently helped out at the Trick or Treat and Doyle Carnival event for Halloween; Camp Fort Hill's recent open house and Thurston Wood's annual auction. Coming up they will be participating and volunteering at the United Way staff basketball game; Salvation Army Christmas bell ringing; the Sturgis Kiwanis and Elks Boots and Shoes; and
the Suicide Prevention Summit on January 18.

Key Club is a student run club at Sturgis High School that is sponsored by the Sturgis Noon Kiwanis Club.
