More Security For LaGrange County Data Systems
By: Tim Murray - Wednesday, December 18, 2019

(LAGRANGE) – LaGrange County's data system is getting some more security.

On Monday the LaGrange County Commission authorized a three year contract with CyberEye Incorporated for cyber security. It’s funded by a grant through the Secretary of State’s office at no cost to the County.

I.T. Director Bob Murphy says this will help guard the county against hacking, ransom ware and viruses. It will work in conjunction with the security the County already has and make it even safer.

If the grant isn't renewed after three years the County would have to decide if it wishes to continue with and pay for the security. Murphy said that cost is unknown at this time.
