(ALBION) - A Wolcottville man will be sentenced next month for an incident that happened in Kendallville in February 2019.
28 year old Kyle Gibson was charged with aggravated battery, which is a level 3 felony, following an incident in a garage behind a Main Street residence. Police were called to Parkview Noble Hospital where a person was dropped off by private vehicle with a gunshot wound.
Gibson was later apprehended at a Fort Wayne hotel.
Online court records indicate Gibson plead guilty to new charges of carrying a handgun without a license and criminal recklessness, both lower level felonies, in exchange for dismissal of the aggravated battery charge.
He is scheduled to be sentenced February 11th at 2 PM in Noble Circuit Court.
