(UNION CITY) – A boil water advisory was lifted Sunday for a portion of Union City.

Village officials posted a notice on their Facebook page that the boil water advisory was lifted for residents on St. Joseph Street between Woodruff and Park Streets. The notice had been issued Saturday as a precaution because of a loss of pressure to the Village's water supply that was due to a water main break.

Jeff Mitchell, Union City DPW Supervisor says measures were taken to fix the issue and after tests were done and showed the water was safe to be consumed, the boil water advisory was lifted.
