No Changes For LaGrange Co. Commission In 2020
By: Tim Murray - Tuesday, January 7, 2020

(LAGRANGE) - 2020 will look a lot like 2019 for the LaGrange County Commissioners.

Monday morning, the Commission reorganized during their first meeting of the year and decided keep things as before. Larry Miller will continue as president and Terry Martin as vice-president of the commission.

They also decided to keep the same committee assignments as last year.

Several board appointments followed, with Commissioners reappointing Tyler Young to the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and the Wolcottville – Topeka Board of Zoning Appeals. Martin Franke was reappointed to the County Library Board, and Deb Notestine to the property tax board of zoning appeals.

The Commissioners also approved the purchase of a 2021 Ford E-450 chassis and box from Ziegler in Elkhart at a cost of $42,494. It will become emergency management’s new mobile command center once it gets another $80,000 worth of outfitting. Delivery is expected by the end of March.

Emergency Management got a grant that will cover the entire cost of the project.
