(COLDWATER) – A new officer has been hired by the Coldwater Police Department.

In a media release, Coldwater Director of Public Safety Joe Scheid says the Police Department has hired Haroon Aljabaly. Aljabaly is a Coldwater native and graduated from Coldwater High School. He then attended the Police Academy at Kellogg Community College.

Aljabaly officially begins his duties today.
