(VOLINIA TOWNSHIP) – A Cass County teen was injured Thursday morning in a two vehicle crash in Volinia Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke says at 7:50 AM Thursday, 17 year old Riley Bush of Cassopolis was turning into a private driveway on Marcellus Highway near Lawrence Road, when he was rear ended. Both vehicles went off the road and struck some trees.
Bush was taken to Three Rivers Health to be treated for his injuries. Deputies did not say if the second driver, 17 year old Madison Brady of Cassopolis, was injured in the incident. It's believed both individuals were wearing their safety belts. The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Dowagiac and Wayne Township Fire Departments and Pride Care Ambulance.
