(LAGRANGE) - LaGrange County has its first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus.
The LaGrange County Health Department says the patients are a husband and wife that traveled overseas and returned home early this month. They have been self-isolating at home for over a week.
A second case was reported in Noble County, where one of the first cases was reported. The second victim has been hospitalized at Parkview Noble Hospital since Tuesday.
The second victim is a school bus driver and food director for the West Noble School Corporation.
In Steuben County health officials say an employee of Fremont Community Schools is hospitalized in Allen County with the virus.
Although the patient is employed in Steuben County, the individual is NOT a resident there. Steuben County health officials remind the community that only individuals that reside in Steuben County would be reported to the department directly.
They were part of the 338 additional Hoosier cases reported Friday morning. That’s brings the cumulative total to 981 Indiana residents. Seven more Hoosiers have died from the virus, bringing the total deaths to 24.
