Coronavirus Testing Increasing In Indiana

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Testing for COVID-19 is increasing around Indiana.

During a Wednesday afternoon media conference, Dr. Kristina Box, a Commissioner with the Indiana Department of Health, says the most asked question she receives is will there be more testing for coronavirus? She says the answer is yes. ...... {LISTEN}.

Box says Lilly was also able to do 436 tests in their drive through line. This is for health care providers and those who are in the high risk population.

Because supplies are currently limited, Box says they will continue to promote targeted testing. ...... {LISTEN}.

New testing guidelines were announced on Wednesday in Indiana, that will include people who may be symptomatic and at risk, but may not have to be hospitalized. This includes diabetics, people with high blood pressure and pregnant women.
