Two Arrests Made By LaGrange County Sheriff's Office

(LAGRANGE) – Two people have been arrested in separate incidents in LaGrange County.

A Deputy with the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office observed 27 year old Zachary Emerick of Angola standing outside a residence at 11705 East 425 South in LaGrange. The deputy discovered that Emerick had an active felony warrant out of LaGrange County on charges of possession of a destructive device, possession of meth and unlawful possession of a syringe.

The deputy attempted to apprehend Emerick, who ran away. After a short foot chase, Emerick was stopped and taken into custody. The deputy found that Emerick had hypodermic needles on him.

Emerick was booked into the LaGrange County Jail on the felony warrant, along with charges of resisting law enforcement and unlawful possession of a syringe.

A Shipshewana woman is facing drug charges.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Office says 37 year old Tara Litteral was transported to the LaGrange County Jail by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office for a felony warrant.

When she arrived at the LaGrange County Jail, it was discovered that Litteral had a hypodermic needle with a brown liquid substance in it. It was taken and tested positive for methamphetamine.

Litteral was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic needle.
