(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department has recovered items stolen from two different locations.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says his department was contacted by the Cass County Sheriff's Department on May 6, after Cass County authorities located a stolen vehicle in the 10,000 block of Bair Lake Street. The vehicle was reported stolen from the 57,000 block of Lone Tree Road in Fabius Township on May 5.

After further investigation, officers located other stolen property at the Bair Lake Street location. A man and woman were arrested by the Cass County Sheriff's Department for possession of stolen property. The case is still under investigation.

Lillywhite says on May 7, his deputies executed a search warrant in the 68,000 block of Lutz Road. They were acting on information that a stolen trailer was at the property.

Deputies were able to recover a 2020 Neo 7x22 enclosed trailer that had been stolen in September 2019 from the lot of Neo Manufacturing on U.S. 12. All of the visible numbers had been ground off and any identifying decals had been removed.

The trailer was identified by using information provided by Neo Manufacturing.

The case remains under investigation.
