Northeast Indiana Reporting More COVID-19 Cases

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Northeast Indiana is reporting more COVID-19 cases from Wednesday to Thursday.

LaGrange County has 5 new cases of coronavirus according to the Indiana State Department of Health. That makes 46 people who have tested positive for the virus, and 2 people who have died.

In Noble County, there are 2 new cases of COVID-19, which means 144 people have the virus. There have also been 17 people who have died from COVID-19. Steuben County has 13 new cases, which brings the total number of people infected to 67. There have been 2 people who have died from the coronavirus.

DeKalb County saw 1 new case, giving them 25 total cases and 1 person who has died. Elkhart County has 50 new cases of COVID-19, bringing their total number of people infected to 589. There was another death in Elkhart County, which means 22 people have died.

Across Indiana, 634 new cases of coronavirus have been detected, making 26,053 people who have COVID-19. There were 26 people who died, bringing the total number of people who have passed away in Indiana to 1,508.

The State Department of Health says 6,325 new COVID-19 tests have been given in Indiana. 160,239 people have been tested with 16.5 percent of the tests coming back positive.
