(MILLGROVE TOWNSHIP) – Two people were arrested following a police chase.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to the 7500 block of North County Road 650 West in rural Millgrove Township to investigate a report of a man and woman who were arguing in a pick up. Before officers could arrive, the vehicle left and couldn't be located.

After a short time, a vehicle matching the description of the truck was seen near the Pokagon Interchange on I-69. Deputies and other police agencies tried to stop the vehicle but it took off going south on I-69 to U.S. 20, then went west before stopping near County Road 600 West.

The driver was identified as 32 year old Kerri Rugg of Angola. Police later learned during the chase, she changed place with a man who was in the truck, 32 year old Clayton Rugg of Angola.

Both individuals were arrested on charges with one count of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle. Police also discovered that Clayton Rugg had outstanding arrest warrants out of Steuben and Allen Counties. They are being held in the Steuben County Jail.

Assisting in the investigation were the Angola, Fremont and Orland Police Departments along with the Indiana State Police.
