Flood Watch Issued Until 8 PM Monday

(UNDATED) – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the listening area.

Weather officials say the rain from over the weekend prompted the watch to be issued, which is in effect until 8 PM Monday. The watch area includes St. Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale Counties in Michigan, along with LaGrange, Noble, Elkhart, Steuben and DeKalb Counties in Indiana.

Forecasters say moderate to heavy rain will continue at times into the early evening hours tonight.

River flooding will continue along with areal flooding, especially in low lying areas. Flood prone locations, such as creeks, low spots and poor drainage areas, may be impacted.

Individuals who live in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Please monitor forecasts throughout the day and be alert for possible flood warnings and other weather alerts.
