Three New COVID-19 Cases In Southern Michigan

(UNDATED) – There were three new cases of COVID-19 reported in Southern Michigan from Sunday to Monday.

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is reporting 1 new case in St. Joseph County. That makes 87 people who have the coronavirus and 1 person who has died.

Branch County actually has 2 less cases than were reported Sunday. There are 95 cases of COVID-19 in the county and 2 deaths from the virus. Hillsdale County has no new cases, which gives the 166 cases of the coronavirus. There has also been 24 deaths in the county.

Another inmate has died from COVID-19 at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. That makes 21 inmates who have died at Lakeland. There was another inmate diagnosed with the coronavirus, which means 793 prisoners with the virus. 34 staffers have also tested positive.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 1 new case of COVID-19 in Cass County. 60 residents now have the virus, and 2 people have lost their battle with coronavirus.

Around Michigan, 773 new cases of coronavirus have been detected, which means 51,915 people have tested positive. In addition, 24 more people have died. All total, 4,915 Michigan residents have died from COVID-19.
