Man Arrested After Shots Fired In Sturgis

(STURGIS) – A suspect is in custody after shots were fired.
Sturgis Police were called to the 200 block of North Prospect Street at 2:54 AM Sunday on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, officers learned that a person had shot several rounds near a group of people who he had previously been arguing with. While speaking with the victims and witnesses, a suspect was quickly identified.
Officers located the suspect in the 300 block of Devonshire, along with the firearm that was used.
A 21 year old Hispanic man was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail. He is awaiting arraignment on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and brandishing a firearm.
