(KENDALLVILLE) – After much deliberation, a Northern Indiana festival has been canceled for 2020.

In a post on their Facebook page, Amanda Taylor, Executive Director of the Kendallville Apple Festival says they will not hold the festival this year. Taylor says the Apple Festival Committee met with Noble County Health Officer Dr. Terry Gaff and following that meeting, the decision to cancel the festival was clear but heartbreaking. Taylor says the committee did not feel they were able to hold the Apple Festival and meet the requirements set forth by the State of Indiana.

Taylor says the 2021 Apple Festival is scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd, and they will put their efforts into making next year's festival the best ever.

Taylor says she also made a call out to festival goers to be sure to watch the Apple Festival website at their Facebook page for information about ways to support the many vendors that participate in the festival. Click Here.

The Kendallville Apple Festival has been going on since 1985. It attracts over 70,000 visitor annually had has a working budget of $80,000.
