(ELKHART) – Authorities are investigating the death of an Elkhart man involved in a two vehicle crash.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says 19 year old Hadley Malloy of Elkhart was driving north on Montrose Park Drive at 9:28 PM Monday. She started to turn west onto Spring Mill Drive when an eastbound moped, driven by 66 year old Tad Rheinheimer of Elkhart entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

Rheinheimer was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The cause and manner of his death is still being investigated. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and may have suffered a medical issue.

Malloy was not injured in the incident.
