(POKAGON TOWNSHIP) – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a person on drug charges.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team made a traffic stop Thursday near the intersection of Commercial and New York Streets in Pokagon Township. As they investigated, detectives detained the 32 year old female driver. They also interviewed a 26 year old female passenger.

After being searched, the passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. The driver was released and issued a citation for driving with a suspended license.

The suspect's name is being withheld, until they are arraigned in Cass County District Court. The matter is still being investigated.
