(BRONSON) – Bronson Community Schools have another positive case of COVID-19 at the Jr/Sr. High School Building.
In a letter posted to the Bronson Schools Facebook page, Superintendent Steve Wilson said they were notified of the new positive case, and are once again beginning contact tracing and cleaning protocols. They are also working closely with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph County Community Health Agency to keep their students safe.
The student who tested positive and those within close contact will need to be quarantined for 14 days, under CHA guidelines. Bronson Schools staff are working diligently to identify students who will need to be quarantined and those households will be contacted directly by the school.
Wilson says they are asking parents and guardians to work with the school district by screening their child or children for symptoms each morning, per the signed return to school agreement.
At this time, Wilson says they do not believe there is a need to close schools. Moving forward through this process, Wilson says they will keep the community informed on a case by case basis.
