(ANGOLA) – A Hillsdale woman is facing multiple charges following an incident in Angola, Indiana.

Just before 3 AM Monday, an Indiana State Police cruiser was nearly struck head on by a wrong way driver on State Road 127. The trooper was taking a suspect in another matter to the Steuben County Jail and was driving north on State Road 127 and entering the roundabout. A passenger vehicle came into the circle, heading south in the wrong direction, causing the trooper to take evasive action to avoid the collision.

An Angola Police Officer and another Indiana State Trooper were nearby and got the driver to stop on Washington Street.

The officers realized the female driver of the car, 40 year old
Hannah Gore of Hillsdale, was showing signs of being intoxicated. After a roadside investigation for impairment was conducted, Gore was taken to the Steuben County Jail where it was determined her blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.

Gore was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated endangering a person; operating while intoxicated; operating while intoxicated with an alcohol concentration of .15; operating the wrong way and not having a valid license.
