Bronson Schools May Change Student Schedules
By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, October 8, 2020

(BRONSON) – Some changes may be coming for Bronson Community School student schedules.

During Monday's meeting of the Bronson Board of Education, several members of the community were in attendance to listen to the Board talk about several possible scenarios. The reason for the discussion about changing is the number of students who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and the shut down of the district just a couple of weeks ago.

Bronson Superintendent Steve Wilson shared that before the school year started, the School District presented several options for students. Those in kindergarten through fifth grade had the option of being in school every day or have their classes on line. Bronson students from 6th to 12th grades were given the option of having on line instructions, face to face or a combination of both.

The School District was shut down for three days, two weeks ago, when four students received positive tests for COVID-19. There was another positive test at the Jr/Sr. High Building the first day students were allowed back to class, which was September 28. Several students at the Jr./Sr. High School building were quarantined because they had close contact with the students who had the positive tests.

Nothing has been finalized, and Wilson says the District is looking at several possible options.
