(UNDATED) – A man and a woman were pulled out of a Steuben County lake late Thursday afternoon.

In a post on the Steuben Township Fire Department's Facebook page, several Steuben County fire departments and rescue crews were sent to
Gooseneck Lake around 5:30 PM on reports of a man in the water.

The first units on scene found a man and a woman in the lake, while a man on a pontoon was trying to help them.

Two rescue workers got into the water and were able to get the victims to safety. The post says the man was unconscious and reportedly had been in the water for several minutes. He was given CPR and life saving treatments, then transported to an area hospital. He was later flown to another hospital.

The female victim was also taken to an area hospital as a precautionary measure.

Their conditions are not known.
