(ALGANSEE TOWNSHIP) – Michigan State Police are investigating the theft of two motor vehicles in Branch County's Algansee Township.

On December 8, Troopers were called to the 100 block of South Fremont Road to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle, a 1996 Ford 4 door passenger car. The vehicle was in extreme disrepair, and was most likely taken on a trailer. It had a Michigan license plate number of DBT 4668.

On December 9, Troopers were called back to the same area for another vehicle theft. The second vehicle was also said to be in disrepair and was taken from the scene on a trailer. This time, a 1984 Ford F-150 pick up was stolen. It is red with a cap on the back, broken windows and rust on the driver and passenger side doors by the running boards. The front tires were flat.

A witness told Troopers they saw a possible suspect vehicle in the area, at approximately 3:40 PM on December 9. It is a black truck with a wooden utility trailer attached.

If anyone has information on these crimes, or knowledge on the location of the stolen vehicles or the suspect, they are asked to call the State Police Post in Marshall at 269-558-0500.
