Allen Remains As County Commission Chair For 2021

(CENTREVILLE) – There won't be any change in the leadership of the St. Joseph County Commission in 2021.

During their first meeting of the new year Tuesday, the Commissioners voted unanimously to have Dennis Allen serve once again as the Commission Chairman. Following the vote, Allen thanked his fellow Commissioners.

Allen was elected to the Commission in 2016 and will be serving a third consecutive term as Chairman. He represents St. Joseph County's Third District, which is made up of Florence, Lockport, Nottawa and Sherman Townships.

The Commissioners also voted 5-0 to have Kathy Pangle serve as the Vice Chairman for the new year. Pangle was also elected to the County Commission in 2016 and represents the Second District, which includes Burr Oak, Colon, Leonidas, Mendon and Park Townships.

Tuesday was also the first meeting for newly elected Commissioner Jared Hoffmaster, who says he is excited to be serving in this new role. ...... {LISTEN}.

Hoffmaster represents the First District, which includes the City of Three Rivers, along with Fabius and Flowerfield Townships. He replaces Allen Balog who did not seek re-election, but instead ran for the Republican nomination to be the 59th District State Representative.
