Traffic Stop Leads To Arrests On Drug And Weapons Charges

(FABIUS TOWNSHIP) – A traffic stop in Fabius Township lead to the arrest of two people on drug and weapons charges.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle in the 10,000 block of Dutch Settlement Road. While searching the vehicle, deputies discovered over 46 grams of suspected methamphetamine, packaging materials, a digital scale and a loaded firearm.

A 33 year old Three Rivers woman was arrested for possession with intent to deliver meth. A 42 year Dowagiac man is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth; carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm along with several misdemeanor offenses.

They are both being held in the St. Joseph County Jail.
