(DEKALB COUNTY) – A LaGrange man was injured in a motorcycle accident while trying to avoid two dogs.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department says 65 year old Keith Reining was traveling south on State Road 327 when two dogs ran into the roadway. Reining struck the dogs, and hit his brakes, causing the bike to skid and for him to fall off the vehicle.

Reining had injuries to his leg, elbow and ribs. He was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center. The dogs received minor injuries and did not need medical treatment.

The dogs' owner was located and given a citation for not containing the animals on the property.
