SHS Students Hold MLK Day Event

(STURGIS) – Sturgis High School students have a special event scheduled to honor the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Their Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration will be from 11 AM until 2 PM Sunday at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts. The day is centered around a theme, which is a quote from Dr. King, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”.

Sturgis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert explains what will be going on as part of the celebration. ...... {LISTEN}.

Ebert says there will also be a kids arts and crafts table, baked goods and beverages.

The event is free, but Ebert says donations will be accepted, and will go to continuing to have this event in the future.
