(CENTREVILLE) – A familiar face has started his new duties with the St. Joseph County Commission.
Ken Malone was sworn in as the new Fifth District Commissioner during last week's organizational meeting. The Fifth District includes the City of Sturgis and Fawn River Township.
Malone has been attending County Commission meetings since last fall. He says that among other steps will hopefully help in with his new duties. LINKC.
Malone says he is grateful the Commissioners have a good direction on their budget issues so that they can continue on a path towards getting themselves economically strong.
Malone takes over for John Dobberteen, who announced last year he would not seek re-election to the County Commission. Malone says Dobberteen has offered his assistance if he has any questions. LINKD.
