(SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in a one vehicle crash in Branch County's Sherwood Township.

Sheriff's Deputies were sent to Dunks Road and Division Road at 5:40 AM Thursday. They found a person trapped in the passenger side of the vehicle which was off the road.

The Sherwood and Union City Fire Departments were also sent to the scene and helped get the individual out of the vehicle. Michigan State Police were also summoned to help.

No information has been given on the condition of the person in the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
