(CENTREVILLE) – Glen Oaks Community College is doing something to help with the need for teachers in Michigan.
During Thursday's monthly meeting the Glen Oaks Board of Trustees were told that the College will launch a Teacher Prep Academy this fall. This will allow 11th and 12th grade students to take classes during high school, allowing them to spend time in classrooms working with teachers and students.
These classes would transfer to colleges and universities that have teacher programs. If anyone would like more information on the Teacher Prep Academy, they can contact the academic adviser at their high school, or Glen Oaks.
