(UNDATED) – The body of a missing Coldwater man was located over the weekend.
Michigan State Police with the Coldwater Detachment say the body found Sunday was 64 year old Kim Vanlandingham. Investigators say the body was in a wooded area near Jonesville and Union City Roads. It was discovered by the property owner, who immediately called 911.
Vanlandingham was reported missing in February 2019. Authorities say Vanlandingham has gone missing in the past. He suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and often went to secluded areas.
An autopsy will be performed to determine Vanlandingham's cause of death.
