(LAGRANGE) – The LaGrange County Commissioners authorized the Council on Aging and the Parks & Recreation Department to apply for grants Monday morning.
The Commission On Aging's grant is for their annual Indiana Department of Transportation grant. COA Executive Director Cheri Perkins told the commissioners she is seeking funding to purchase two more vans for the L-CAT transportation system. Perkins said fares for the system are going up June 1st.
The Parks & Recreation Department will seek a grant of $175,000 which is half the cost of the Duff Lake Fenn project at Pine Knob County Park. They’ll find out sometime in August or September if they will receive the funding.
