(COLON TOWNSHIP) – A Howe woman was injured in a car vs semi crash Friday morning in Colon Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department was called to M-66 and Findley Road at 6:49 AM. Deputies determined that 19 year old Sarah Bostick was on Findley Road and failed to stop at the intersection, driving underneath the semi, which was heading south on M-66.
Bostick was flown from the scene by West Michigan Air Care to be treated for her injuries.
The driver of the semi, John Shettles of Thaxton, Mississippi, and his passenger, were not injured in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police, the Colon Fire Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
