(PENN TOWNSHIP) – An Illinois man has died from the injuries he sustained in an incident at a Cass County lake.

Sheriff Richard Benhke says 50 year old Parish Swanson of Aurora, Illinois died following an incident June 8 at Donnell Lake. His death is being ruled as accidental.

Swanson was on a dock playing with his sons when he was pushed into the lake. After an unknown time under water, the boys were able to bring Swanson back to shore.

CPR was performed on Swanson. Life Care Ambulance arrived and took him to Elkhart General Hospital. The Cass County Marine Division and the Penn Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
