(LAGRANGE) - The LaGrange County Commissioners heard some budget requests during their meeting on Monday.

ARC of LaGrange County requested a 5 percent increase over this year’s county contribution. ARC’s Deb Seman says staffing is their biggest challenge. She also says even with an increased contribution from the county, the agency faces a projected deficit of nearly $157,000.

The LaGrange County 4-H Association requested $52,000 from the Commissioners for next year. Tammy Kauffman said there are 533 members enrolled in 4-H this year.

Commissioners will take those requests into consideration as they formulate the budget that they’ll submit to County Council this summer.
