(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Grange Fair has received a grant to help them with a project.
Fair Manager Bill Johnson says the Fair was the recipient of a $10,000 matching grant from The Andersons, Inc. of Maumee, Ohio. The grant was given by The Andersons in keeping with their mission of supporting communities which will increase their value.
The grant was finalized this winter and has already been received. Johnson says the grant is earmarked for infrastructure and will be dedicated toward a $34,000 project of roofing three buildings on the grounds.
Johnson says there are 54 buildings on the fairgrounds and grants like this are of great value in keeping up with the continual needs of the infrastructure. He says the support and the generosity of The Andersons displays their belief in Agriculture Education and youth in our community.
