(EDWARDSBURG) – A possible chlorine leak turned out to be nothing.

Cass County Central Dispatch received a call at 6:20 PM Saturday of a possible chlorine leak from a train that was traveling near Edwardsburg.

The train was stopped and the Cass County Sheriff's Department, Edwardsburg Police, the Clay Fire Department and the SMACS Ambulance worked together to set up traffic control. A Haz Mat team from CNN Railways was called in to investigate.

Just after 8 PM, the scene was determined to be clear, and no leak was found. The Berrien County Sheriff's Department also assisted in the investigation.
