Colon, MI

(COLON) – More information has been released regarding a 15 year old boy who allegedly touched a young girl on a Colon school bus.

According to WWMT, police reports show the teen may have touched up to seven girls earlier this year, and court records say that a 15 year old boy has been charged with criminal sexual conduct after he allegedly touched some six year old girls.

The parents of the alleged victims have not released their names to the media, requesting anonymity during this investigation.

According to reports, the teen says he spoke with a social worker and said he was playing around with the girls and tickling them, and his hand slipped down, touching their private parts. The teen says he did not put his hand under anyone's clothes.

Colon Interim Superintendent Ginny Kowalski issued a release on the School District's Facebook page. She states that in April the Colon Schools Administration and School Board were made aware of an incident on a school bus which alleged inappropriate touching of a young student by another elementary student.

Kowalski says the School cooperated fully with local law enforcement in this investigation. She says the School District reviewed and made changes to their protocols to insure the safety of all Colon students. No charged with filed against this student.

Kowalski says she and the District's transportation director met with a representative of Dean's Transportation to review the procedures. Changes were made that include students on buses are now separated male and female; and younger children sit in the front of the bus.

Additional video cameras have been added to every bus and all bus drivers have been re-trained on protocols and procedures for handling student discipline matters.

Kowalski also says the bus driver was terminated by Dean's Transportation for failing to properly report the alleged incident and criminal charges have been filed against the man.
