(THREE RIVERS) – Following two suspicious incidents in the last week, Three Rivers Police are asking citizens to be observant.

Officers were called to investigate a suspicious situation last Sunday, January 28 on River Trail. A woman told police she was walking with her child when she saw a man sitting on a bench, playing with a knife, and with a baby stroller next to him. The individual was a white man with dirty blonde hair and a goatee.

The woman says the man approached her, asking to see her baby. She refused and walked away, but the man followed her to Scidmore Park. She says the man threw the stroller into the back of a black Dodge pick up and then followed her in the vehicle to South Lincoln Avenue and South Street.

Police searched the area but could not find the man or the vehicle.

Then on Wednesday, police were called to the Three Rivers' Walgreen store. A woman says a white man came up to her, and tried to get her to come to a vehicle in the parking lot behind O'Reilly Auto Parts. He said a police officer was in the auto.

Police searched for the man and the vehicle but could not find them.

Three Rivers Police are advising people if they go out, to walk in pairs because it's safer to travel in groups. If something seems out of the ordinary, call 911 immediately.
