(THREE RIVERS) – The man who is a suspect in a shooting incident in Three Rivers has surrendered to authorities in Georgia.

Three Rivers Police say 21 year old Bobby Rouseau turned himself in at the Henry County, Georgia Sheriff's Department on June 4. He is wanted in connection with a shooting on Monday, May 28 at Paul's Pantry Convenience Store in Three Rivers. He is facing charges of Assault With Intent To Murder, Discharging A Firearm From A Vehicle and Felony Firearms.

During the May incident, an argument broke out inside the store. Employees told those involved to leave and a short time later they heard gunfire in the parking lot.

A 31 year old Sturgis man was shot, but was able to get into his SUV and leave the scene. Police found him a block away and took him to Three Rivers Health where he was treated and released.

Three Rivers authorities say Rouseau is fighting extradition back to Michigan. He will be in court on August 7 for a hearing.

The incident remains under investigation.
