(FLORENCE TOWNSHIP) – A Centreville man died in a one vehicle crash Thursday morning in Florence Township.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Brad Balk says 54 year old Willie Fuller was driving south on Lutz Road just south of Featherstone Road at 5:30 AM. Investigators say he lost control of his pickup, crossed the center line and went off the east side of the road, striking a tree. Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Balk says it appears the icy roads and speed were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation. Assisting were the Constantine Fire Department along with Life Care Ambulance.
