Sturgis CC teams both fourth at Kiwanis Invitational

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis boys and girls cross country teams both finished fourth in their portion of the 55th Sturgis Kiwanis Invitational. In the boys race, Bronson and Detroit Catholic Central tied for first; Coldwater and Quincy tied for second while Colon and Harper Creek tied for third. Constantine tied for fourth with the Trojans. Sturgis' Tremaine Brown was 17th and teammate Carlos Lara Flores was 18th. Kyle Foulk of Coldwater was fourth while Luis Ortiz of Bronson was ninth; Rhett Reif of Quincy was 13th, Tucker Lafler of Colon was 34th and Julian Hawthorne of Constantine was 44th. In the girls race, Coldwater and Bronson tied for first; Quincy and Niles tied for second; while Constantine and Harper Creek tied for third. Kiley PeDue of Sturgis was ninth while Korin Whitcomb was tenth. Elka Machan of Coldwater was first; Grace Welch of Bronson was 11th; Avery Rufenacht of Quincy was 17th and Cami McMillin of Constantine was 19th.
